Dr. Grose is a co-investigator on the IRB study “Role of Sugammadex as Reversal Agent in Patients Extubated Immediately After Isolated Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting Surgery.” This study is funded by Merck, Sharpe & Dohme Corp Industry in the amount of $82,026.

About Brian Grose
Dr. Grose began as an Instructor at West Virginia University School of Medicine in 2004 after completing his internship and residency at West Virginia University School of Medicine from 2000-2004. (Chief Resident from 2003-2004). He was promoted to Assistant Professor in 2006 and Associate Professor in 2016. Dr. Grose has been certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology since 2005. He is also a Diplomat of the National Board of Echocardiography - Advanced Perioperative Trans-esophageal Echocardiography since 2013 to present. Dr. Grose is the Director of the Clinical Skills Course for rising 2nd year medical students and provides training in IV skills, airway skills, art line placement, ECG interpretation, and spinal/lumbar puncture skills. He facilitates learning opportunities for medical students by coordinating the full day Clinical Skills event. Dr. Grose's specialty and primary area of focus is Cardiac Anesthesiology. He is member of the HVI charge anesthesiology group at the Heart and Vascular Institute. Dr. Grose also serves as the Medical Director of Anesthesia Services and Assistant Program Director for the Anesthesiology Residency program.
