About Kevin Larkin

 

 

Internship training in the Department of Behavioral Medicine and Psychiatry at the West Virginia University Health Sciences Center in Morgantown. He joined the faculty at West Virginia University as an Assistant Professor in 1986, Associate Professor with tenure in 1992 and to the rank of Professor in 2002. He served the department for 13 years as Director of Clinical Training and was appointed Department Chair in 2013.

Research Interests Dr. Larkin’s research is in the area of applied psychophysiology and clinical health psychology, with a special interest in how behavioral and emotional factors influence health. He directs the Behavioral Physiology Laboratory in the Department of Psychology and his applied research has focused on patients with cardiovascular disease, essential hypertension, and hematologic malignancies.
