Dr. Morgan received her Tobacco Treatment Training Specialist certification through the Mayo Clinic.  She instituted a tobacco cessation program in the Department of Periodontics in 2000, and starting in 2013, the WVU School of Dentistry required competency in tobacco treatment cessation strategies as a requirement for graduation from the WVU School of Dentistry. In June of 2017 Dr. Morgan submitted a Tobacco Treatment Training document that resulted in WVU School of Dentistry in cooperation with the Office of Interprofessional Education becoming one of now 25 national and international accredited Tobacco Treatment Training Programs.
