Babette Taylor provides executive administrative support for Clay B. Marsh, Vice President and Executive Dean for Health Sciences, through vital practices and efforts.  Babette is routinely involved in extensive scheduling of meetings, logistics and travel arrangements, and preparation of materials for meeting folders to regularly coordinate and implement various meetings and projects, such as HSC Grand Rounds.  Babette also serves to directly contribute through several methods to key financial activities that are vital to departmental function in association with Paula Congelio, the Associate Vice President for Finance and Chief Financial Officer for HSC.  Babette prepares and processes travel reimbursements for VP, AVP’s, and candidates that interview for positions through the VP Office, to include payment of office expenditures and invoices related to hotel accommodations and lunch/dinner business meetings.  Babette also contributes to the signature process for Finance, a spreadsheet tracking system for all collaborative contracts/departmental signatures for review.  In addition, Babette serves as the Card Coordinator for VP for HSC, his UHA United Bank credit card, an important monthly process.

In addition to her administrative support role, she also serves as back-up support and/or direct support for several personnel, including: direct support to VP/Executive Dean in Marcia DeMarco’s absence, back-up support for Cassie Stacy for VP signature tracking involving collaborative contracts with departmental signatures.  She is supervisor of First Floor HSC South to oversee eight staff members for Emergency Response and Preparedness Plan.  She created and manages the RACK II @ HSC and oversees staff volunteer coordination for HSC community-wide distribution of non-perishable items available to all students, staff and faculty.  Babette also serves as a liaison to the President and Provost Offices, WVU Vice Presidents, WVUH and WVUHS Vice Presidents and associated leadership, as well as with federal and congressional leadership, media, patients and the general public.
