About Jason Likens
Dr. Jason W. Likens is currently an Assistant Professor in the Section of Hospital Medicine in the Department of Medicine. He attended medical school at West Virginia University, School of Medicine, and he completed his residency training in Internal Medicine at West Virginia University. His interests include hospital medicine and caring for patients across the state of West Virginia.

- Assessing influence of time to treatment, co-morbidities, and other perioperative risk factors on morbidity and mortality of critically ill patients. Advisor: Dr. Michael Mascia.

- Research assistant completing an Honor’s thesis and McNair Scholars Program project investigating the human bioaccumulation of mercury due to coal-fired power plants, coal-fired industrial facilities, and other known sources of mercury exposure.
