About Alfred Gest
Dr. Al Gest is a native of central Texas who trained at Baylor College of Medicine and Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston. He has been a Board Certified Neonatologist for 34 years. Previously, he set up and led the program for Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia (BPD) management at Nationwide Children’s Hospital from 2000-2010. From 2010 to 2014 he was Medical Director of the NICU at Texas Children’s Hospital. His current interests include caring for children with BPD as well as general Neonatology, including delivery room management. He also has extensive training and interest in quality improvement science.
