Through the combination of good and bad luck, Ben started his medical career while teaching English in Ecuador. This instilled in him a passion for Latino health, which he carried through medical school, and which further developed into an interest in global health during residency. He has extensive travel experience, though he has yet to make it to Antarctica. He enjoys teaching and writing and hopes to work on both during his time at West Virginia University. When not in clinic, Ben enjoys photography, alternative music, and Bollywood films.
