Antonio Cassara, MD joined the Department of Anesthesia in September of 2017, coming from The University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and Children's Hospital.  He is certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology and Pediatric Anesthesia.  He received his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from the University of Palermo Italy in 1984.  Dr. Cassara completed his Residency in Internal Medicine and a Fellowship in Gastroenterology in 1993.  He completed a Fellowship in Transfusion Medicine at  Luis Pasteur Institute at the University of Strasburgh in 1995.  He completed an Internship in General Surgery at Allegheny General Hospital and his Anesthesiology Residency at Western Pennsylvania Hospital in Pittsburgh in 2007.  He went on to complete his Fellowship in Pediatric Anesthesia at Children's Hospital Pittsburgh in 2008.  Dr. Cassara is a full-time Pediatric Anesthesiologist and provides anesthetic care for inpatients and outpatients as assigned.
