About Mohammad Roidad
Dr, Mohammad Roîdad was born in a small village in Pakistan. He went to school and college locally. He attended Khyber Medical College in Peshawar, Pakistan and graduated in 1971.
Dr. Roidad worked in the Pakistan Army for 3 years and retired as a Captain to pursue post graduate studies and training. He came to the United States in 1974 and did 6 years of training, one year of surgery, 3 years of internal medicine and 2 years of G.l. fellowship. All of this training was received at Coney Island Hospital in Brooklyn NY.
He moved to West Virginia in 1980 and worked in private practice in Gastroenterology from 1980 until 2017. November of 2017 he joined WVU Medicine and is in part-time practice at the Gateway Clinic and Fairmont Regional Medical Center.
Dr. Roidad was top of his class from 1st grade to 10th grade and in college. He had the 2nd position in the University in pre-medical college. He was "BEST GRADUATE" (best 5 year average) and "GOLD MEDALIST" (top position final year) of Khyber Medical College. He had the Merit Scholarship in college and in medical school. Dr. Roidad was awarded the Virginia Nash award for being the best resident in 1976 at Coney island Hospital in Brooklyn, NY. Dr. Roidad is married with 3 children and 8 grandchildren and is a US citizen since 1984.
His Interests are G.I. procedures and his hobbies include yard work and playing with his grandkids.
