Why did you choose WVU?  The people! All residency programs note the family-like atmosphere, but WVU is one of the few places where I truly felt that. Everyone was warm and inviting during the interview process so I had no doubt I would feel supported throughout my training. I also appreciate the diverse training locations, including a large academic center and community and rural hospitals. And the weather, of course! Being from Alabama, my husband and I are both thrilled by the prospect of snow.

Brief bio: Darcy grew up in Sweet Home Alabama, just outside of Birmingham. She earned her degree in Biomedical Sciences from Mississippi College where she met her husband, Seth. Darcy enjoys hiking with her dog, college football, cooking (but really just eating), growing succulents and having game nights with friends. She is interested in global health and doing medical mission work.
