Why did you choose WVU? I was initially drawn to the unique training opportunity offered at WVU-- WVU was the only program on my interview trail that offered training at an academic hospital with a Level 1 Trauma center, a community hospital, and a rural hospital. WVU also takes care of the patient population I wanted to work with, with patients coming from rural and some of the most medically underserved areas. Most importantly, the people in the program are amazing. The faculty, staff, and residents are incredibly supportive and welcoming, and they genuinely love what they do.
Brief bio: I grew up in New Jersey, worked as an EMT after college, and completed a postbaccalaureate program at Boston University before going to medical school in Camden, NJ. In my free time I enjoy hiking, trail running, fishing, and watching tennis and soccer.
