About Isaac Hayward
Hometown: Laramie, Wyoming
Undergraduate institution: University of Wyoming
Medical school: University of Washington
Why did you choose WVU? I chose WVU because it is located in a smaller town, but is located in a university hospital with a big catchment area. I liked how I did not feel overwhelmed traveling around Morgantown but will still get to see lots of different pathology. Also the residents had good relationships with each other and with the staff.
Brief bio: I grew up in Southern Wyoming and stayed at the University of Wyoming to play football for the Wyoming Cowboys. After completing a BS in physiology, I worked at a vision clinic before attending the University of Washington as a WWAMI student for medical school. My goal after completing residency is to work at a community hospital in a rural area. In my free time, I enjoy hunting, hiking, camping, spending time with my wife, and playing any sport imaginable.
