I was born and raised in Western part of Nebraska, attended medical school in Omaha where I met my wife (currently in Ophthalmology) and couple's matched here at WVU for residency.
What attracted me to WVU Residency?
My wife and I wanted to train here at WVU medicine due to the opportunities for both of us with quality programs. The faculty and residents here are engaged and invested in your success as a training surgeon and give you opportunities procedures and patient care decisions early.
What makes our program unique?
WVU provides unique training with the perfused tissue cadaver lab, which is an incredible learning tool that gives you a realistic feel on procedures, dissections, and operations that may be less frequent or technically challenging. Residents experience several sessions throughout the year with specific curriculum and guidance through these cases.
What do I like about Morgantown?
We enjoy the community feel that the city provides. There is everything you need from shopping, eateries. Opportunities are close by for outdoor hiking versus the city life of visiting Pittsburgh just an hour away.
