Why did you choose WVU? I was initially interested in WVU because of location, the combination of both academic and community medicine, and the recreational opportunities in the area. During my visiting rotation, however, I fell in love with the faculty, residents and the patient population. WVU EM truly is a family and I’m honored to be a part of that family.
Brief bio: I’m what some people might refer to as a “mountain man.” I grew up in Montana where I was put on skis at age 3, climbed a 10,000 foot peak at age 10, shot my first elk at age 13 and have loved everything outdoors my whole life. Travel has always been an important part of my life as well both within and out of the country. My passion for adventure and inability to keep my feet on the ground is also shared by my partner in life, my wife, who is also from Montana. We are excited for our new adventure in West Virginia.
