Dr. Sayanika Kaur is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at WVU in the Division of Rheumatology. She obtained her medical degree from Kasturba Medical College Manipal in India. Thereafter she completed her internal Medicine Residence at Mercy Catholic Medical Center in Pennsylvania. She then pursued fellowship training in Rheumatology at Drexel University School of Medicine in Philadelphia where she was also the Chief Rheumatology fellow.

She has been trained in the use of musculoskeletal ultrasound and holds the USSONAR and RhMSUS certification. She has a special interest in role of ultrasound to further the understanding of rheumatic diseases and aims to provide exposure and training to medical students, residents and fellows at West Virginia University. She enjoys teaching and caring for patients with rheumatic conditions such as Rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, vasculitis, lupus and gout.
