About Ariana Barkley
Hometown: Mount Pleasant, Pennsylvania
Undergraduate institution: Saint Francis University
Medical school: Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University
Why did you choose WVU?
My husband and I are both from small town southwestern Pennsylvania. After spending four years in Philadelphia, we were both looking forward to a chance to move out of the city. WVU gave us just that as well as an opportunity to be back close to friends and family. Additionally, the tight knit, supportive culture within the EM department is exactly what I was hoping to find in a residency program.
Brief bio:
Ariana grew up in Mount Pleasant, PA. She attended Saint Francis University and graduated with a BA in Chemistry. Throughout college she worked as an EMT for Ligonier Valley Ambulance Service, it was this experience that initially developed her interest in emergency medicine. Ariana attended Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University. She is a dog mom to two French bulldogs, and some of her hobbies include working out, DIY home improvement projects, and antiquing.
