Why did you choose WVU?
WVU was initially highly recommended to me by an important mentor—however, after looking into the program (with the variety of off-service rotations, the opportunities to experience both academic and rural departments, the demographic of patients, the location…among many other things I could list) my interest was piqued. Interviewing here only solidified this interest after spending time with the residents and faculty; the camaraderie and ease between the residents and administration and amongst the residents themselves drew me immediately in. In this program, I found the most genuine people who truly love their program and only helped solidify my choosing the blue and gold. It was easy for me to pick Emergency Medicine, and after my experience with this program it was equally as easy for me to pick this program.
