About John Pisquiy
Hometown: Wylie, TX
Undergraduate institution: Texas A&M University
Medical school: Texas Tech El Paso Foster SOM
Why did you choose WVU?
I was looking for an EM program with four things: (1) Established program at a Level 1 trauma center, (2) Academic backing (i.e. affiliated with a university), (3) Multiple rotation sites (e.g. academic teaching hospital, community hospital, etc.), and (4) Fit. This program had it all. The amazing interview day and the people I met were the icing on the cake. I felt and feel welcomed to be here. I also have the opportunity to do so many outdoor activities (fishing, rafting, hiking, skiing)...another bonus.
