Hometown: Warren, Pennsylvania
Undergraduate institution: University of Pittsburgh
Medical school: Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine
Why did you choose WVU?
I choose WVU because it checked every box for me in terms of what I was looking for in residency. The hospital serves a diverse population while being placed in a more rural-feeling environment. I immediately felt a connection with the faculty, staff and residents during my away rotation and subsequent interviews. Overall, I felt a pervasive calm, content, methodical yet focused approach to medical training.
Brief bio: I grew up in a small town in northwest Pennsylvania. Between college and graduate school, I worked as a sales analyst at an oil refining company, high school soccer coach, and owned a lawn service company. My identical twin brother, Mark, is also an EM resident at WVU. When not working, I enjoy golfing, playing basketball, and spending time with my fiancée and our 2 golden retriever’s Holly and Annie.
