Personal Interests: I enjoy gardening, paddleboarding, swimming, cooking, skiing and attending spin and Pilates classes. I also like spending time with my family, preferably on a beach or watching a Tribe game.
Short Bio: I’m from Cleveland, Ohio and I’m the eldest of four sisters. I was a competitive swimmer growing up and always enjoyed my science classes. I attended Denison University – a small liberal arts school outside of Columbus, Ohio. After school I moved to Washington DC where I gained exposure to the OR and knew anesthesia was for me. I attending AUC and did my clinical rotations mainly in Miami FL and Cleveland. I couldn’t be more excited to have matched at WVU. I’m enjoying the hiking just outside of town and the awesome camaraderie our department has.
Additional Info
What attracted you to WVU Anesthesia for residency? I’m really impressed with the camaraderie and how resident education is so emphasized in our department. From first meeting the staff during interviews, I knew that I would be valued as a team member. We also are exposed to all types of cases and patients, I know I will be well trained after completing residency.
What makes our program unique? I particularly like our program size, all of our attending’s get to know our strengths and areas of improvement quickly however we still are exposed to a lot. Also, as residents we really support each other and celebrate one another’s success – that type of environment is where I thrive.
What do you like about living in Morgantown? I love it! The hospital is in a very safe part of town and I live less than five minutes from the hospital. There is so many outdoor activities to do in town – from boating and paddle boarding in the summer on Cheat Lake to great mountain hikes around Cooper’s Rock State Forest I don’t think I’ll get bored living here. I’m also excited for WVU sports to come back full force so I can attend some proper tailgating.
