Dr. Jennifer Leavitt was born and raised in Parkersburg, West Virginia.  Her family has owned a funeral home in Parkersburg since 1882 and her mother owned her own psychology business for over 30 years.  She is proud to be from and educated in West Virginia.  She went to Marshall University as an undergrad and played basketball there.  She then played in England for half a year before returning home to attend medical school at West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine and a residency at Grandview Medical Center in Dayton, Ohio.  Dr. Leavitt has been in private practice since residency and in 2008 she helped to start the IM Residency program at Camden Clark.  She was the Director of Medical Education and Program Director until June 2020.
