Personal interests: Mountaineer sports (I bleed blue and gold), anything outdoors—boating, skiing, hiking, and spending time with my husband and young son.
Dr. Julie Phillips is from West Virgina, growing up in a small town relatively few have heard of- Cool Ridge, located in southern West Virginia, just off the West Virginia Turnpike. Her parents and older sister are also WVU alums, so the whole crew are all Mountaineer Sports addicts. In fact, Julie takes pride in not missing a home football game from the start of high school through completion of medical school. She hopes to spend some time in the blue lot with you when society returns to normal.
Coming back to WVU meant an opportunity to return home. Julie looks forward to working with many of the people that trained her or went through medical school with her. She is excited to take on the challenge of building the clinical, educational, and outreach programs in the Pediatric Emergency Department.
