While in medical school, I was open minded to the variety of specialties as such I had multiple interests, but no matter how much I tried to pursue a different path, I was constantly drawn back to internal medicine. I was always intrigued by the intricate and intelligent thought processes involved in managing patients with different co-morbidities. Also, the fact that internal medicine is a broad specialty with multiple interesting sub-specialties to choose from, made it even more attractive to me. Now that I am currently undergoing my residency training at WVU Medicine Camden Clark, I look forward to acquiring the clinical skills that would make me become an exceptional physician.
