About Stephanie Smith
In her role at the Office of Health Affairs, Stephanie assists the director of program development and management with implementing a common program management methodology, standards, and tools. She also directly supervises program managers as well as manages the PDMO training and mentoring program, leads the implementation of new and innovative program-management approaches and tools, and helps develop business strategies and PDMO policies to enable the strategic coordination of multiple program portfolios. Her work helps drive and facilitate the successful delivery of programs and enhances the PDMO’s program management capability and culture.
Over the course of her career, Stephanie has proven to be a leader in client onboarding and structuring client-success teams for both commercial and government projects. Prior experience as a developer provides unique insight into designing, testing, documenting, training, and overall critical thinking from start to finish. Her formal study in communications, usability practices, and project management training helps strengthen interactions among team members as well as with project sponsors and clients, resulting in successful project implementation.
