Dr. Kennedy grew up in Kansas City but spent portions of his summers with extended family in Uniontown, PA. His experiences as the second of seven children are what likely led him to become a pediatrician and eventually pursue pediatric emergency medicine. He met his wife while working in Los Angeles, and they now have three amazing children. They ended up trading the earthquakes of Southern California and the tornados of the Midwest for the rolling hills of West Virginia. Dr. Kennedy enjoys participating in and watching sports with his children, especially soccer with Sporting Kansas City, the USWNT, and the USMNT. He is excited to help build and grow the Pediatric Emergency Medicine Division in a brand-new children’s hospital, a huge need for the children in West Virginia. May the Force be with you.
