About Austin Minnich
Hometown: Lancaster, Pennsylvania
Undergraduate institution: Lebanon Valley College
Medical school: Temple University
Why did you choose WVU? I chose WVU because of the perfect blend of academic medicine in a community setting. Morgantown, along with its exciting division one college atmosphere, provides the unique opportunity to practice medicine in a smaller town with a large catchment area. The residents and faculty are genuinely great people and foster an incredibly desirable work environment.
Brief bio: I attended LVC where I majored in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and was an All-American lacrosse player. My love for sports and food led me to Philadelphia for medical school (in case you’re wondering, Dalessandro’s is the best place for a cheesesteak in Philly). In my free time, I like to play sports and spend time with friends and family. My parents are both math teachers, so I have to pretend that I still remember all of calculus. I am excited to continue my training in Morgantown with an amazing group of co-residents!
