Community Service 

UAB Dentistry CARES Outreach Day – School of Dentistry, University of Alabama at Birmingham. Delivered no-cost dental care to individuals from the Birmingham community with unmet dental needs including diagnostic treatments, surgical extractions, and periodontal prophylaxis. Over 400 patients were seen at each event and more than $500,000 of no-cost dental care was provided annually. 2017-2019

June 2017- June 2020 Periodontics resident at University of Alabama, Birmingham, Alabama(USA): Performing advanced clinical periodontal therapy including lateral and vertical approach sinus lift, ridge augmentations and soft tissue aesthetic procedures using IV sedation. Performing treatments using a wide range of implants (Nobel, Straumann, Astra, BioHorizon, Zimmer, etc.) and treatment planning software (Simplant, Nobel Clinician and coDiagnostix). Obtained hospital based training in anesthesia and airway management, managed over 30 IV sedation cases in addition to simultaneously performing surgical periodontal care for patients. Teaching clinical skills to dental students and dental hygienists. Provided educational support to junior students in the program improving didactic skills and conveying information in a professional setting.
