Dr. Sabina Nduaguba is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical Systems and Policy at West Virginia University. She obtained a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree and a master’s degree in Clinical Pharmacy at University of Lagos, Nigeria. She also earned her master’s and doctoral degrees in Health Outcomes research at the University of Texas at Austin. Prior to joining WVU, Dr Nduaguba completed a postdoctoral fellowship at University of Florida on the application of advanced epidemiologic methods in research design and real-world evidence generation. Dr Nduaguba’s research focuses on cancer prevention and control through smoking cessation as well as health disparities among people with HIV and cancer. Her current emphasis is on the application of pharmacogenetics in metabolism-informed smoking cessation treatment and addressing disparities in lung cancer treatment. She is a collaborator with the HIV and cancer groups of the Global Burden of Disease, Injuries, and Risk Factors Study (GBD Study). Dr. Nduaguba holds a joint faculty position with the WVU Cancer Institute.
