About Lauren Veltri
Dr. Lauren Veltri, received her undergraduate degree in Biology, at West Virginia University Elberly College of Arts and Science. She completed Medical School (2010), Residency in Internal Medicine (2013), and Hematology/Oncology Fellowship training (2016) at West Virginia University, School of Medicine. She went on to complete a Stem Cell Transplantation Fellowship (2017) at the University of Texas, MD Anderson Cancer Center.
Dr. Veltri is board certified in Internal Medicine, Medical Oncology and Hematology. In 2017, Dr. Veltri was recruited as an Assistant Professor at West Virginia University in the Department of Medicine, Section of Hematology/Oncology with a special focus on hematological malignancies and stem cell transplantation.
During her academic and professional career, Dr. Veltri received a variety of awards, and has several published abstracts and publications.
Dr. Veltri is a member of the American Society of Hematology, and the American Society for Blood and Marrow Transplantation. In addition, she is a member of the Hematology/Oncology Fellowship Recruitment Committee, Blood Utilization Committee and the Department of Internal Medicine Program Evaluation Committee at West Virginia University.
