Research Interests
My clinical focus is liver, gastric and pancreas malignancies. As the leader for WVU’s program in Robotic Surgery, a high priority is development of innovative strategies for educating residents in Robotic Surgery. Our group is also working to expand efforts in Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) for patients undergoing complex abdominal and pelvic operations. I also helped establish WVU Cancer Institute’s Oncology Quality Council. Through the WVU-CI network of hospitals, we have ongoing projects to improve cancer care for the rural WV population. I welcome working with a resident in any of these areas!
